According to Russian law, every foreign citizen upon registration:
- temporary residence permits,
- residence permit,
- Russian citizenship
is obliged to submit to the FMS documents on the absence of infectious diseases, HIV infection and drug addiction.
These documents can be obtained by passing a medical commission. Please note that this can only be done in specialized medical organizations, a list of which is established by the Russian government in each region separately.
In order to get a referral and go through a medical examination, the following documents are required:
- Copy of passport;
- Copy of migration card;
- Copy of migration registration (temporary registration).
During a medical examination, a foreign citizen must:
- Get tested for sexually transmitted diseases: HIV, syphilis, Dühring-Nicola-Favre disease;
- Have a chest x-ray;
- Get tested for tuberculosis, chancroid and leprosy;
- Have an examination with a narcologist, dermatologist-venereologist and TB specialist.
After passing all the tests, a foreign citizen receives a medical report on his state of health in the form of a certificate of the established form about the absence of dangerous infectious diseases for others.
