Foreign citizens who come to Russia to earn money or for further residence draw up a lot of permits, which after a certain time have to be either renewed or reissued. But there are two important documents that a foreigner can draw up once and for life.
So what kind of documents are these?
You probably already guessed that the discussion in this article will focus on the design of the TIN and SNILS.
We have already written several times that for an official job for a visa-free foreigner it is necessary to apply for a patent. But along with the registration of the patent, one should not forget about two more documents that are required to work legally.
TIN - an individual taxpayer number that is charmingly required to pay the patent tax.
It is necessary to issue a TIN in the Tax Service of the Russian Federation once and for a lifetime.
SNILS - the insurance number of an individual personal account, which is necessary for the employer to deduct monthly contributions from a foreign employee to the Pension Fund of Russia.
SNILS is issued at the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation and is also issued for life.
So why do foreigners need these documents?
TIN is necessary for its owner in order to correctly and timely pay patent tax. If there is no TIN, it is impossible to pay checks for a patent, and also if someone else's TIN is used when paying tax, such payment will not pass, and the patent will be canceled.
SNILS is a binding document that must be drawn up by a foreigner working under an employment contract (according to Federal Law No. 167, Article 7, Clause 1). The main advantage when applying for SNILS for a foreigner can be called the fact that he will receive the right to pay a pension for work experience in Russia, as well as disability pensions and loss of a breadwinner, if in the future he receives a residence permit.
